Kaplink, kaplank, kaplunk!

In the summer, "kaplink, kaplank, kaplunk" means blueberries. But today, those are the words that came to my mind when we finally did this:

oh, me too! the best job i ever had, bar none, was collecting sap at a birch syrup farm. walking around through the quiet woods, carrying buckets full of sap, and then listening to the kerplink after returning the empties. Ahhhhhh..... and, don't know about maple, but wow! birch sap (just the raw, unboiled stuff) is so delicious to drink. a real spring tonic!
