Because there are still cold days to come...

...I finally finished some new longies and a wool dress I cut out weeks ago. (Why, oh, why does it take so long to finish things sometimes? Sewing these together took less than 1/2 an hour, and yet, they'd sat waiting for weeks!) I've wanted to share them with you, but I've been having a hard time getting photos; Lucy is no longer an easy model. Here's what I get instead:

You wanted to take a picture of my new dress and longies?
But there are kids to chase! I can't stand still!

What do you mean, stand up to model my pants?
There's a step to climb!

And what's going on over there?

Come out? Don't be silly, mama. I have to eat this bread I found on the floor! And I like being in here!
(We call this spot behind the chairs "baby jail." Lucy puts herself in there all the time and hangs out there to play.)

You want a picture of my new longies?
You'll have to catch me first!

Bye-bye!

Omgoodness, could that child be any cuter?!
Seriously, how do you not eat her?

Oh, Lise, this is HILARIOUS!
You have captured her perfectly.
Is that a piece of bread she has in her mouth, as she smiles widely in babyjail?!

What a fun and marvelous post. Thank you!

Wow, that is one lucky girl you have there, with her knittin' mama!

Great post, and great work!

Oh, Karen, I wish I could knit! I should have been more clear: felted thrift-store sweater, hacked up and re-sewn. The short-cut method!

I love those pants!
Yes, there will be cold days to come, but I know what you mean about taking forever to finish something. I'm making everyone's winter mittens in the summer this year. That way I won't be in a rush when they need them.

oh my, what a cutie! that dress is so beautiful--love it.

I'm the same way--I'll have a quick project sitting around to finish and when I manage to get to it I wonder why I waited. Life gets in the way, I suppose! :)
