Yarn Along 13

I'm joining in to Ginny's Yarn Along again today, although it's a stretch to call my latest project crochet. I'm chaining and braiding reins for the stick horse I'm making Lucy for her birthday.

I finished One Thousand White Women (great read!), moved on to The Red Garden (wonderful!), and have started The Book Thief, so it's no wonder I have little crochet to show!

Check out the links at Ginny's blog for more reading and yarn inspiration!

The Red Garden is awesome I read it in a day. Read the reviews of The Book' Thief I'm intrigued.
Can't wait to see Lucy with her stick horse.

That stick horse is awesome! WOW!! And "The Book Thief" has been on my to-read list forever, but it just hasn't been the right time for me to read it, I guess ... One of these days!

Are you enjoying the Book Thief? It's our book club pick this month and I am having a great deal of trouble getting into it...

I'm so impressed your making a stick horse - what a wonderful gift!
I've not read any of these books, and thats why I love this yarn along..finding lots of knitting projects and new books to read!

I loved, loved "The Book Thief". I can't say another word about it without risking spoilers, but curious to hear what you think when you're finished.

The stick horse is awesome! What a fabulous gift. Did you use a pattern or design it you self? I have a little one who gallops through the house constantly that would love a stick horse.

I haven't read any of the books you mention, but many seemed to comment on how good they were, so on my reading list they go. Thanks!

Blessings, Elizabeth

I thought the Book Thief was very cleverly written and some of the scenes in it still stick in my mind months after I read it. I hope you enjoy it.

Can't wait to see the stick horse!
